Overview

Casino Marbella describes itself as a boutique casino that has operated on the Costa del Sol since 1978. It gives its address as the Hard Rock Hotel Marbella building, and the Andalusia tourist board places it in the facilities of Hard Rock Hotel Marbella, in the Nueva Andalucía district near Puerto Banús. There is a restaurant led by chef Agustín Román, open every day from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m., and the casino also hosts temporary exhibitions and themed evenings. The casino belongs to the CIRSA group.1, 2, 5, 6, 7

The casino is open from 11 a.m. to 4 a.m. It is closed on 24 December, and on 31 December it opens from 1 a.m.1

Admission

Visitors show a valid identity document with a photograph: a passport, an identity card or a driving licence. Photocopies are not accepted. Each visitor also signs a personal data protection form before going in. Food, drinks and pets may not be brought inside, and taking photographs or video is not allowed.3

Age and identification

Entry is for visitors over 18. The casino states that access is prohibited to minors and to people listed in the applicable registers of gambling bans and self-exclusion.1, 3

Dress code

The access rules bar swimwear, sleeveless tops for men, flip-flops, sunglasses, caps and bulky items such as backpacks, suitcases or motorcycle helmets. The legal notice on the casino's website adds that shorts and sports shoes are not admitted.3, 4

Licence and regulation

Casino Marbella is one of the casinos of the Spanish group CIRSA. Its access rules exclude anyone entered in the register of people barred from gambling, which the casino abbreviates as RIAJ.3, 6
