The casino belongs to the Algarve gaming zone, one of ten gaming zones in Portugal, and is run under a state concession by Solverde Algarve, S.A. Gaming in casinos is supervised by the Serviço de Regulação e Inspeção de Jogos (SRIJ), and a gaming inspector is permanently present. Decree-Law 422/89, the Portuguese gaming law, allows games of chance to be operated in the casinos of these zones.4, 5
