Casino in Uncasville, United States
Mohegan Sun has two casinos, Casino of the Earth and Casino of the Sky, and this guide covers them as one venue, as the resort's own pages do. They are part of the Mohegan Sun resort at 1 Mohegan Sun Boulevard in Uncasville, the same complex as the hotel's Sky Tower and Earth Tower. The resort opened on 12 October 1996 and was created by the Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut. Casino of the Earth is the larger of the two and is laid out in four seasonal themes; it holds the Wolf Den, a 350-seat venue with free shows. Casino of the Sky sits under a planetarium dome above Wombi Rock, a lounge built of onyx and alabaster, and has a 55-foot (about 17 metre) indoor waterfall and a glass sculpture by Dale Chihuly.1, 2, 5, 6, 7
The Connecticut tourism office lists Mohegan Sun's hours as 24/7.3
The resort states that the legal age for casino gambling in Connecticut is 21 and that underage gamblers found on the casino floor are subject to ejection or arrest. The planetarium dome above Casino of the Sky is likewise only for visitors aged 21 and older, even when accompanied by an adult.5, 8
