Birmingham: Hotels & Evening Entertainment

The Birmingham entry of this guide covers Resorts World Birmingham, a leisure complex that gives its address as Pendigo Way, Birmingham. It does not stand in the city centre. It is on the campus of the NEC exhibition centre, beside Birmingham Airport and Birmingham International railway station, and the NEC puts Birmingham city centre about 14 miles away by car or a 10-minute train ride. The official tourism website for Birmingham and the West Midlands presents Resorts World under Solihull, and the Gambling Commission records Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council as the local authority for the casino premises. The complex holds the Genting Hotel, a Genting casino, the Santai Spa, outlet shops, a cinema, bowling and a range of restaurants and bars.
