Casino Estoril is a gaming and leisure complex in the seaside town of Estoril. It has operated since 1931, and the tourism boards of Cascais and Lisbon both describe it as the largest casino in Europe. According to Visit Cascais, it was a meeting point for spies and exiled royalty during the Second World War and inspired Ian Fleming's novel Casino Royale. Apart from the gaming rooms, the building holds the Salão Preto e Prata, a show and dining hall for 1,000 people, an auditorium for 350 people, an art gallery and the Chinese restaurant Estoril Mandarim.5, 6
