Overview

Royal Hotel Sanremo is a five-star hotel on Corso Imperatrice, set in a subtropical park of 16,000 square metres with the sea in front. It was founded by Lorenzo Bertolini, built to a design by the architect Alessandro Cantù and inaugurated in 1872. The hotel is a member of The Leading Hotels of the World. It describes itself as a few steps from the casino and the Ariston Theatre; the walking route to the casino measured on OpenStreetMap is about 470 metres.^{2, 3, 5, 15, 18}

Corallina, the pool bar and restaurant, serves snacks, informal lunches and a buffet from April to October, with a pizzeria and live music in the evening from June to September. Il Giardino serves dinner on a terrace facing the sea from June to September. The Lawrence Lounge in the lobby offers all-day dining from noon to 11 p.m. The hotel describes its cooking as Ligurian and Mediterranean.^{9, 10}
Wellness and leisure: Royal Wellness has a large hydromassage pool, emotional showers, a Turkish bath at 40°C and a Vitarium at 60°C, followed by a relaxation area, and offers massages and treatments. Getting there: The hotel gives the distance to Sanremo railway station as about 1.8 km, to Nice airport as 62 km and to Genoa airport as 140 km. By car, Sanremo is reached on the A10 motorway, leaving at Sanremo Ovest from the west or at Arma di Taggia from the east. The front desk arranges private transfers on request.⁴
