Grand Hôtel Billia

Overview

Grand Hôtel Billia is a five-star hotel in Saint-Vincent, in the Aosta Valley, open since 1908. It is the main building of the Saint-Vincent Resort & Casino, which also includes Parc Hotel Billia, a spa, a congress centre and Casino de la Vallée. The casino opened in 1947 in the rooms of the hotel itself. Today it occupies two floors of a building that the casino describes as directly connected with the hotel complex, and the resort says the hotel complex is linked to the casino by an underground tunnel. Rooms

The regional tourist board lists 75 rooms. The hotel has six categories: Classic rooms of 30 square metres, Deluxe rooms of 35, Junior Suites of 40 to 45, Suites of 55 to 65, the Presidential Suite of 85 and Wing Apartments of 100 square metres with two bedrooms. Bathrooms are finished in local granite and rooms have wooden floors, a safe, a minibar, a coffee machine and free Wi-Fi. The Presidential Suite is in the central tower of the historic building, with a balcony over the park, and the Wing Apartments are in the towers of the facade. Some Deluxe rooms and Junior Suites can be connected.^{1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 18}

Dining

The hotel restaurant serves Italian cuisine and is also open to guests who are not staying at the hotel. Its halls include 1908, the central hall, La Grande Vue near the entrance hall, and Le Rascard, set in the park and joined to the historic building by glazed walkways. Breakfast is served daily from 7 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. Lunch starts at 12.30 p.m. and dinner at 7.30 p.m.; last orders are at 1.45 p.m. and 9.45 p.m. from Monday to Thursday, and at 2.05 p.m. and 10.15 p.m. from Friday to Sunday and on holidays. The bar La Cheminée sits in the veranda along the Belle Époque facade, and a Pool Bar opens in the park in summer.^{11, 12}

Wellness and leisure

The L'EVE wellness centre has an indoor pool with large windows onto the park, an outdoor pool with a temperature-controlled basin for winter swimming, saunas and a series of showers. It normally opens from 9.30 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. from Monday to Thursday and until 8 p.m. from Friday to Sunday. Children under 8 are not admitted, and those aged 8 to 15 only in the morning with an adult. The gym has Technogym equipment and is open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Massages and beauty treatments are by reservation, daily from 11 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. The hotel lists its outdoor pool in the park as open from June to September.^{8, 10}

Getting there

By car, leave the A5 motorway at the Châtillon-Saint-Vincent exit and follow the SS26 towards the centre of Saint-Vincent; the resort says it appears on the left after about five minutes. The resort gives road distances of 86 km from Turin Caselle airport, 159 km from Milan Malpensa, 186 km from Milan Linate and 177 km from Geneva. The nearest railway station is in Châtillon, with a local bus to the hotel. The regional tourist board notes that the railway is temporarily closed and replaced by buses.^{15, 18, 19}

Good to know

• The spa notice read on 9 October 2026 says the spa and gym are closed from 28 September to 12 October 2026. From 13 October 2026 until spring 2027 the outdoor pool is being renovated; during that time the outdoor area and the spa's indoor pool are closed, and the spa admits only guests aged 16 and over.¹⁰

• Parking near the hotel is free, uncovered and unattended. A Tesla charger and a universal charger for other electric cars are available to staying guests.⁸

• Pets are not allowed in the hotel.⁸

• Rooms are non-smoking, with some rooms set aside for smokers on request. Six rooms are designed for guests with disabilities.⁸
