Overview

Wynn Las Vegas is a resort hotel on the Las Vegas Strip, on the northeast corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Spring Mountain Road, across from the Fashion Show Mall. It forms one resort with Encore, a second hotel tower: the parent company, Wynn Resorts, describes Wynn and Encore Las Vegas as two luxury hotel towers with a total of 4,748 rooms, suites and villas. The casino is part of the resort. Wynn Resorts lists a casino among the resort's features, and the hotel's own pages speak of the casino floor at Wynn and of restaurants set around it. The property also has an 18-hole golf course, two spas, pools set in gardens and the Lake of Dreams, a lake with an evening multimedia show.1, 3, 7, 11, 13, 14

  • The casino is on the property and, by the resort's account, open 24 hours daily.13, 14

  • Wynn Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-70 course designed by Tom Fazio and his son Logan Fazio on the site of the former Desert Inn course.10, 12

  • The Lake of Dreams, a three-acre (about 1.2 hectare) lake framed by a 45-foot (about 14 metre) waterfall, stages a multimedia show that can be watched without a ticket.11, 12

  • The Spa at Wynn covers 45,000 square feet (about 4,200 square metres) and has 45 treatment rooms.12

  • The resort counts more than 20 dining concepts, among them SW Steakhouse, Wing Lei and Mizumi.7, 12

Hotel details

Rooms

Wynn Resort rooms come with one king or two queen beds, and the hotel calls them among the most spacious standard rooms in Las Vegas. Panoramic View rooms add a view of the Strip or the Las Vegas Valley, and Panoramic Corner King rooms, on the 28th floor and above, have two walls of floor-to-ceiling windows. Wynn Tower Suites have their own entrance and a private pool deck; the larger ones are the Executive suite at 993 square feet (about 92 square metres), the Parlor at 1,280 square feet (about 119 square metres) and the Salon at 1,817 square feet (about 169 square metres). Fairway Villas have one or two bedrooms and a private patio or balcony.6

Dining

The resort counts more than 20 dining concepts. SW Steakhouse serves steaks, including certified Kobe, in a dining room and patio facing the Lake of Dreams. Wing Lei serves Cantonese cuisine, Mizumi offers sushi and teppanyaki beside a waterfall garden, Sinatra is the Italian restaurant, Casa Playa cooks coastal Mexican food and Delilah is a supper club with live music. In-room dining runs 24 hours a day. Most restaurants ask for resort elegant or business casual dress, and swimwear and gym clothes are not accepted in formal dining rooms.7, 11, 12

Wellness and leisure

The resort has two spas, The Spa at Wynn and The Spa at Encore, both open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Spa at Wynn covers 45,000 square feet (about 4,200 square metres) with 45 treatment rooms, hydrotherapy pools, saunas and steam rooms. The fitness centres are open daily from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Outdoors, the main Wynn and Encore pools are surrounded by gardens, with cabanas and daybeds to reserve, and Tower Suites guests have a separate pool area. Wynn Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-70 course of 6,722 yards (about 6,150 metres).8, 9, 10, 12

Getting there

Harry Reid International Airport is approximately five miles (about 8 km) from the resort, and the hotel puts the drive at 10 to 20 minutes depending on traffic. The resort does not run an airport shuttle; taxis and ride-share services are available 24 hours a day at the Wynn main valet and the Encore main entrance. By car, exit I-15 at Spring Mountain Road East; the resort is on the northeast corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Spring Mountain Road. The Las Vegas Convention Center is across the road, and the resort points to the Vegas Loop station at Encore for an underground ride to the convention halls.3, 12
